With revolutionary technology in hardware , video can now be displayed on a television screen from a PC. To enable this, two conditions have to be satisfied. The graphics card of the PC must have a TV output which is either a S-video or RCA output and if both are not present, then an additional hardware VGA box will be required. The TV must also have a SCART adaptor or S-video entry. The desired configuration is set through the control panel. The view option can be activated through the settings tab. Once the TV is connected to the TV output, the display gets ready. TV signal can be checked through AV mode on the television screen. For better resolution and clarity, one should ensure that the resolution of the TV and the monitor, as well as the I / O standards, remain similar.

TV output

S-Video output

Note: Full S-Video support is not a feature of many graphic cards, causing a black and white display. To solve this problem, simply open the S-Video/SCART adapter and bridge terminals 15 and 20.

FAQ

Why does the image on the TV flicker?

If the resolution of the TV is not identical to that of the monitor the display will flicker. Return to the configuration options, click the right mouse button on TV (monitor No. 2), then choose resolution and clarify 800x600x32 bit in 60 Hz (or 50 Hz if available).

Why is the image in black and white?

The problem often comes from video standards (the PAL), so check that the standards I/O are identical.
