How to Take Screenshots on the Xbox One
In this guide you will learn how to take screenshots of the Xbox One. You can take a screenshot of your current gameplay share them with your friends or use them as a custom background image for the Dashboard menu of your console.
There are two ways of taking screenshots on the Xbox One, but first you need to make sure that the latest system updates are installed on the console.
You can take a screenshot of your current gameplay using the Xbox One controller. Double tap on the Xbox button on your controller to bring up the Quick Menu. The following options are available:
Press Y to save screenshot
Press X to record that
Press Y to save the screenshot and return to the game screen. A small notification will be displayed: Screenshot Saved.
NB: the second option records a gameplay footage using the Xbox's One integrated DVR feature. If your Xbox One is equipped with a Kinect, then you can also take screenshots using this simple voice command: Xbox One take screenshot. To view your screenshots, simply go to the Dashboard > Uploads> My Captures. This is where your recorded videos and screenshots are saved. Screenshots have a small camera icon displayed at the top right corner.
