Best original Xbox games that are compatible on Xbox One
Star Wars: Battlefront II
Gotta start with a classic.
Before EA messed up the modern Battlefront games, LucasArts dropped one of the greatest Star Wars titles known to mankind.
Why did it work so well? To name a few reasons… Galactic Conquest, playable troops from all Star Wars eras, awesome heroes, great gameplay, excellent maps (so many awesome maps!), a stunning range of vehicles and turrets available for use, and an interesting story mode featuring your friendly neighborhood stormtroopers!
This game rocks.
Blinx the Time Sweeper
Oh, Blinx! The failed masterpiece. The challenger of Master Chief.
Before Microsoft adopted Spartan 117 as their mascot, the company tried to develop a friendlier face, one that could rival Nintendo’s Mario . Their solution? Blinx, the time sweeping cat!
Despite legitimately fun gameplay, an interesting world, and an awesome soundtrack , Blinx was simply too hard to be well received . The later stages of the game, starting at Neverwinter, reach Dark Souls levels of difficulty. Not by design, but because of poor mechanics.
Still, the game certainly achieved lasting charm!
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
Some people want realistic flight simulators.
Others want a flight simulator version of Indiana Jones, where you constantly battle dangerous enemies in exciting dogfights! They want a wide range of planes – from fighters to bombers. Also, everything comes equipped with booster rockets because…because…reasons, by Jove!
Morrowind
Elder scrolls is old as dirt!
Seriously, the first games came from an age long past, with Elder Scrolls 6 soon to come (2020, hopefully).
Morrowind truly brought Elder Scrolls into the modern-ish age of gaming, with an epic tale to be told across a wide, open world! Prepare yourself for groundbreaking changes to the use of bows, magic, and more, that changed open-world gameplay forever!
Years later, it holds up!
The top 10 video game series of all time
Ninja Gaiden: Black
If you don’t understand the popular love of ninjas, play this game. You will understand.
Ninja Gaiden brings every ninja-lovers dreams to life with more fast-paced cut-and-slash action than a slicin’ and dicin’ Deadpool movie!
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
This game was so good, they made a decent movie ! Did you hear that? They made an acceptable video game movie . That, in and of itself, is amazing!
Why did it work? Because Prince of Persia tells a classic story: a lovably brick-headed prince, far from a kingly figure, must shoulder terrible responsibility after his kingdom is devastated by the powerful Sands of Time! He then fixes the problem with his wit, fighting spirit, and parkour skills…
What’s not to like?
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
At last, by virtue of alphabetical order, we have Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic!
Frankly, we’re not sure at this point if there are too many Star Wars games or too few… or just enough?
Who even knows.
The point is, it’s a great game that even called attention from the famous Smosh Games YouTube channel, founders of Honest Trailers:
